A balancing valve is a type of self-operated regulating valve, which performs dynamic and static balance regulation under hydraulic working conditions.

By changing the clearance (opening) between the valve core and valve seat and adjusting the valve flow coefficient (Kv), it modifies the flow resistance of fluid passing through the valve to achieve flow regulation.

It targets the resistance of the system and eliminates resistance imbalance in the pipeline system. Accordingly, the chilled/hot water flow can be evenly distributed in accordance with designed and calculated proportions, and the flow rate of each branch increases or decreases proportionally simultaneously.
